Free Metcon 7 Trainers

I will be returning these and scouring the internet for the previous version. These are very bulky and uncomfortable. Not what I was hoping for at all. The last version was perfection….

I’m so disappointed in these shoes. Comparing them to the Metcon 6, the toe box on the 7’s are narrow and the tongue is huge. The laces are incredibly short. I doubt this is a shoe I could work out in every day like I could the Metcon 6. The shoe overall is more bulky and less flexible. This feels more like a lifestyle shoe instead of something you would workout in.

I have been wearing metcon free for HITT/lifting workouts for over 6 years. They have been wonderful. The 7’s have a new added stripe of canvas/rubber for the laces that runs to the sole. Every move that involved a bend at the toe (lunges, bear stance ect) it dug into my foot. This is first version to do this. I am so disappointed.

This is shoe is nice, but I got blisters on the back of my heel. The flap in the back of the shoe continues to rub making the shoe really comfortable. The strap you pull to put the shoe on this was rubbing and caused painful blisters.

The Free Metcon 7 is stable and comfortable. But really ugly. The tongue is super padded and so is the collar. They look kinda clunky. I love the 5…don’t get why Nike keeps messing with design without improving. Disappointed in the 7s.

I had such high hopes for these trainers! I went up half a size, like many others this shoe felt a little snug in my normal size, now the fit is ideal. That being said, the right mid-shoe has been moulded slightly differently to the left, such that I now get pain almost as soon as I put these on in my right foot. I have raised this with Nike, but they are not going to offer a replacement due to it being a 'fit, feel, preference issue'. Like anyone would 'prefer' to experience pain. I thought Nike were better than this. The shoes are unsafe for me to wear, what a waste of money.

Toes felt too cramped up. Very aesthetic. Great material but I believe it’s for narrow feet.

Im so disappointed in the metcon 7 sneakers as they are not on the same level of comfort as metcon 6. I have several pair of metcon 6 so I was so excited to try out the new ones. And the plastic at the top of the toe and the sides are not comfortable. Nike, please bring back the comfort level like the sixes. I really like training in these shoes.

Extremely comfortable. Great lifting support, true to size for my wide feet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a physically-active designer, I gravitate toward the clean, minimalist aesthetic of this pair. This aesthetic allows for seamless, multi-disciplinary styling and 'quick grabbing' for multi-function uses. During high-output activities, the shoe operates as an incredibly supportive self-sustaining "system" all-on-their-own. The elevated midsole and accessible upper are standout features - building the structural platform of the sneaker in a given number of high-intensity training and/or jogging efforts. An unexpected but highly welcomed lift makes the pair match my physical proportion and exertion regardless of how hard I'm going. The Critique: The fit can be notably snug out of the box. Additionally, the materials carry a more substantial physical weight than anticipated. This can be great for those needing fuller support, BUT those needing minimal weight may find themselves a bit disappointed. Despite that, this pair brings a highly compelling and stylish artifact for daily movement!

I’d be wanting to try them ever since they started trending for lifting and cross training, and now that I finally got them I think they are worth the reasonable price. They are in fact good for several types of training— I used them for sprints, lifting, HIIT, and everyday wear as well. They can be styled for everyday or for working out. Very versatile shoe. They could probably even be used for higher miles of running, but aren’t probably built to take a ton of miles. That being said, they are a solid pair of shoes and I’ve gotten a lot of use out of them already. They are a new go-to, even for me with my flat feet they have given me no issues.

I’m really surprised by these, so comfy to walk and so great during my HIIT workouts and strength work sessions. I’m completely sold and will recommend to everyone. I’m a size 4 and went with 4.5. Fits perfectly for me.

I received soo many compliments!! I was surprised at how comfortable they are. I use them for work.

Great for Cross Fit, however they come up a bit large for me. I wish I’d ordered the 5.5 or maybe 5 rather than 6.
