These sandals are essentially based on the Indian Kolapuri chappal, (Come on M&S - please give credit where it's due!) that said, these have an added back strap which I really need for support as I have issues with balance, which is why I picked them up. The leather is soft and they are very comfortable. However that said the toe ring did hurt a bit the first time I wore them, but I think they must have stretched a bit as they were fine the second time.

Lovely sandals but they do need getting used to.I have put Vaseline all round the toe peace to soften and it helped and wore them around the house before taking them on holiday.
