Wonderful quality cake but not quite tiramisu
Yes, I recommend this
This is the first time I’ve ever ordered a cake from Marks and Spencer and based on the experience I would definitely do it again. Ordering was easy, the cake was ready for collection first thing in my chosen date and the cake was very well packaged for transport. The cake also looked stunning, it was exactly as pictured. The sponge was delicious and despite some of the reviews stating it was too sweet, we did not find it too sweet (and I am not a huge icing fan so genuinely not too sweet in my view). However, I have to agree with other reviews that there was no coffee taste and whilst it lived up to the name tiramisu in its look, tastewise if I had to blindfold guess, I would have said caramel. Hence only four stars and not five. However, it was still delicious and whilst didn’t quite deliver on expected and hoped for flavour, everything else, including quality of sponge etc, it was perfect. So still happy with what we went for in the end but hopefully M&S will tweak the recipe for future buyers to taste more like a tiramisu.

Stunning looker

This celebration cake looked fabulous, but sadly lacked the distinctive tiramisu flavours.

Not Tiramisu- unpleasant!
No, I don't recommend this
Disappointed!!!- No coffee flavour just a very sweet, unpleasant, caramel type taste. Tiramisu….. it was not! Only a tiny amount of cake was consumed by our guests, we instead had to divide up a much smaller cake made for the children! Having bought numerous M&S cakes over the years, I’m surprised this got through the taste test at all and at £60 was an expensive failure.

Beautiful cake. Enjoyed by all who ate it. I would say a little heavy on the buttercream cream.

Looks better than it tastes
The cake was far too sweet for my liking but the cake itself looked great.

STUNNING CELEBRATION CAKE
Yes, I recommend this
Stunning appearance, a little less butter icing would make it a little less rich !

Great Cake
Yes, I recommend this
I bought this for a birthday and everyone loved it. The coffee flavour was really tasty and nice to have something different. The cake it self had a light sponge and not dry. The butter cream icing was a bit too sweet for me but everyone else liked it. The size of the cake seem small for serving 28 slices. Overall the Layered Tiramisu Cake was a hit.

Less buttercream, more sponge to improve
No, I don't recommend this
Bought for a birthday gathering. All were beaten by the amount of buttercream on this and everyone left piles of the buttercream on their plates which was scraped into bin. I’d say most of the weight in this cake was buttercream. Good depth of cake, but without the buttercream was small for the £60 price.
