Nice, but not for me…
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked the shoe, but it wasn’t right for me. Very nice looking, and comfortable to wear, but I needed more cushioning, and a bigger toe box, so I returned it and bought the Ghost Max 3, and these are great. I had worn these a few days, and the return went smoothly, with no issues. Brooks really means it when they say hassle free returns!

Not what I expected
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
After being highly satisfied with my Defyance Max purchase, I decided to test the Revel Max as part of my search for a "conscious budget max shoe." While the sizing was accurate, the overall comfort and long-term wearability—particularly during extended periods of walking at work—did not meet my expectations. The shoes were notably uncomfortable, especially around the heel area, which has made them difficult to wear for prolonged durations. Given my knee replacement surgery last year, I now prioritize footwear that offers adequate support and alleviative benefits for pain, and thus currently limit my options to either the Ghost Max or Adrenaline models.

Light weight versatile multi purpose shoe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very solid lower prices shoe that is light and versatile. I use these shoes as my cross trainer shoes as they still have a lower 6mm drop I prefer while I do Nordic Walking with poles as my primary cross training to avoid the pounding of running every day and they have performed well and held up nicely. I do not see myself running in these as they are not quite as stable and cushioned as my primary runners (Glycerin Max).

Prefer the Ghost

Fair performance for a reasonably priced shoe. However, the Ghost series is a far superior shoe with a better return of value.

Maxing on a budget
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My go to, all around shoe. Good support, good cushion without the bulk. Good for park jogs, the gym, cross training, and theme park shoes. Getting another pair for back up. I do wish they had better colors but the black on black is solid. Multiple compliments! I bought them on sale just to beat them up, I’m glad I did!

Good for shorter shifts.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Comfortable after some breaking in time. Would still prefer ghost max for long 12-14 hour shifts. Did experience some foot fatigue after long shifts vs ghost max.

New to Brooks. Working great, so far....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried on multiple shoes & brands before choosing the Revel Max.Just a couple of weeks in, but they are performing as planned. Use for treadmill and light gym work. For me, they are a "happy medium" between the larger more cushioned shoe options & the flat foot running shoes. Great rocker feel puts a snap in my stride on the treadmill. Good for 2-3 miles per day. I wear them only in the gym. Many were close to this shoe, but it seemed to be the best overall. Previously a Hoka Rincon 4 & Ariah 7 user. These fit in nicely to my sneaker lineup.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a nurse, I don’t need a ‘running’ shoe but one with plenty of support and soft cushioning. Had Ghost Max but honestly these feel fine for work use. I love wearing them. My go-to shoe. I wear women’s 10 but I bought men’s 8.5. Just for fit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My new daily shoes and go to gym shoes. My previous daily were Nike free runs because I could just slip them on. The shoe is soft and cushion everywhere and the back of the shoe is strong/stuff enough for me to force my feet in while standing without help. The knit is flexible and breathes. The shoes don't feel too heavy and doesn't look bulky. The design and colors of the shoe make it look casual and modern so I can wear these daily. I like the two tone grays. The materials are soft and nice. I haven't had shoes with this much cushion before Brooks. I now have 3 pairs and they all feel very similar to me while wearing but the designs are specific. These shoes doesn't hug my feet as much as the Glycerins so I use it more for casual wear as well.

Love them—that says it all
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are my new favorite shoes! I loved them right out of the box, and they’ve proven to be incredibly versatile. They look great, are super comfortable, stylish enough for work, and highly functional for everything I do in a typical week—work, walking the dogs, light runs on multiple surfaces, and gym workouts. The cushioning is soft, the materials are very breathable, and they remained comfortable all day. Neither I nor my feet have any complaints. I tested them first as my everyday shoes (I average over 10,000 steps a day), and then worked them into light runs on pavement and gravel, plus gym sessions. I was initially concerned that the tread looked more like a gym shoe than a running shoe, but it performed surprisingly well. Traction was never an issue—not even with three full-sized dogs pulling me over wet terrain. The shoes fit my feet well, though they do run slightly wide. It wasn’t a problem for me, but it was noticeable. The Gliderocker feature was a nice touch; I noticed it in my stride while running, though not during general daily use. The best comparison I can make is how trail shoes influence my gait differently than road shoes. I genuinely love these shoes and will definitely purchase another pair—one for everyday wear and one dedicated to running and gym use. I’m also planning to take them as my theme-park shoes, where they’ll be put to the test with 20,000–30,000 steps a day. Highly recommended
