love my dual-purpose running shoes

love my shoes!!!! Saucony was wonderful when i had to return previous pairs because of a size issue and the ones i have are fantastic! the navy color as well helps them do double-duty as a casual shoe, not just runners!

Thank you Lloyd! Happy you love them!
They feel great, the sides of the sole are weak
Originally posted on Saucony
These shoes feel great. I really like how they feel. But I noticed within the first two days of wearing them that the outer coating, or layer of plastic on the big cushy soles was peeling off. They still look nice enough, but I noticed when I’m taking them on and off that that happened pretty quickly.

Love the design of my first pair of Triumph 23’s. If you’re planning to purchase, get your shoe size than a side large as they are 1/2 a shoe size added. Enjoy!

Newest but a downgrade for me

They changed something with this new version. I have been buying the Triumphs for years now the new version strains my left ankle after 3 days of wearing them. My guess is they have changed them to accommodate people with wider feet and/or my heel is slipping too much in these new versions. Pretty disappointing

I bought these about 2 or 3 months ago but didn't keep my receipts won't get a refund. They started falling apart after 2 weeks and now are completely done as I just noticed my feet and shins are starting to hurt. All i do is walk on pavement 4 miles a day about 20 miles a week so its not like im running a marathon. Do not buy

Comfortable fit, poor soles.

These shoes have very little tread and the plastic used on the soles is very slippery against a treadmill. Otherwise comfortable for outdoor running.

Disappointed with the Triumph 23

I have been running in Saucony shoes for since the original shadow model was released, and then for many many years the Shadow 6000, back in 2020, I switched the Triumph 17, and have bought every Triumph model up to and including the Triumph 23. I typically buy 3 or 4 pairs each year. I have to say the Triumph 23 is very disappointing. I am on my second pair, first pair purchased in Sept 2025, and the second pair Dec 2025. I find the upper of the shoe to be very restrictive compared to the prior models, and as a result I have developed nerve pain in both of my feet, which i attribute to these shoes. The changes made for the Triumph 23 I would say did not make the shoe better. Probably will not purchase another Saucony shoe as a result. Time to test other brand shoes.

Must Have Shoes
Originally posted on Saucony
Must Have Running Shoes. Previously with other running shoe brands I got Plantar fasciitis. With these Triumph 23’s I was able to increase my weekly mileage and my feet have never felt better. If you don’t have a pair of these, consider adding to your rotation.

Bring back the awesomeness of the Triumph 21's
Originally posted on Saucony

I've been purchasing Saucony running shoes since the early 90's. The Triumph 23's are the worst shoe I've run in. They are too wide in the toe box and look like clown shoes. My arches were sore after just one outing in them because of lacking support in the mid-sole . The left shoe rubs on my ankle causing pain. After my first run I put them back in the box and planned on returning to Runner's Den Phoenix but didn't return within their 30 day window. I do not recommend the Triumph 23's. I avoided buying the 22's based on poor reviews. Please bring back the awesomeness of the Triumph 21's.

The lightest shoes ever bought, feel great and solid. My foot is long and narrow and these feel a bit large but still like them.

major flaw

I got the all black ones. After only the first wear the black outer layer of the soles started to chip off revealing white underneath and they look very shabby.

So light and so soft
Originally posted on Saucony
This is my second pair of Triumph 23s. Easily the lightest and softest running shoe I've ever worn (in my short history of running). I wore my first pair on my first marathon and came back for another pair. For my next marathon, I think I will save another new pair that has only been worn for fewer than 50 miles before race day. These, like others I've had, seem to breakdown after 50-100 miles and then don't have quite the glorious cushion. Still great but not that fresh out-of-the box feel.

Poor quality

I bought this a month ago. The soles are literally disintegrating as I run on my treadmill. After 18 miles the inside sole is falling apart. I have been in saucony shoes for 12+ years. This is by far the poorest quality shoe from them I’ve had.
