A Guide to Wearing Jeans in Summer

When choosing summer jeans, pay close attention to the type of denim they're made from. Look for breathable cotton or cotton-rich fabric and remember you can always check the care label if you’re unsure about the composition.

The weight of the fabric also influences how a garment feels to wear; lightweight denim is more breathable and therefore more comfortable to wear during warmer weather.

You may also prefer to avoid stretch fabrics containing synthetic fibres such as elastane and polyester that can trap the heat. However, you can buy jeans made from semi-synthetic fibres such as lyocell which are designed with breathability in mind.

To keep cooler in warm weather, swap out skinny jeans in favour of looser fits which allow more airflow.
